The bottle case made of plastic has storage spaces (18), the depth of each corresponding to a lower end section of the bottle height, the sideways movement of this lower section of a stored bottle being limited. Sleeves (14) project from the bottom of the inside of the case between adjacent storage spaces, each sleeve having at least two tongues (28) which are split by longitudinal slots (26) and which are spread out wider in one section of their height. At a level which corresponds to the upper end of the storage spaces, a surface area, or several surface areas, are located outside the storage spaces. An independent claim is included for a combination of a bottle case with an outer packing in which a group of bottles is located, wherein the underside of the outer packing rests upon a surface section or several surface sections.
