The geometry is recorded using a video camera. Spacing of each image point of the current camera image is determined. The camera is moveable relative to the geometry and/or has a zoom lens. Data is prepared to represent the relative position of the camera and/or the zoom setting. The three dimensional geometry is reconstructed using the camera image, the spacing information and the tracking data. It is optically displayed.
