The gearbox is controlled by voice commands. The voice command is converted to a signal which is transmitted to a control device. The automatic gear changing is determined by a characteristic curve. The torque transmitted by the clutch is controlled by a device associated with the gearbox as a function of the driving conditions. Engine braking torque is halved if locking of a wheel is detected.
