摘要

A heater (26) is thermally connected to a nozzle (24) for heating a melt in a melt channel (28) of the nozzle. The inlet end (34) of the nozzle contacts a mold block (46) having temperature lower than the temperature of the nozzle, during use of the nozzle. The nozzle has a wall thickness which varies in the axial direction, so that, melt flowing through the channel has a selected temperature profile.
