The trowel has a flexible blade (1) which can be deformed through a deforming member (5). Each part of the grip foot (4) of the handle (2) is connected to the blade at least in some places and the deforming means are connected to the foot and in active connection with the blade so that the blade can be deformed in variable manner. The trowel has a socket holder such as a solid or U-shaped profile for the deforming means. The deforming means can be a knurled thumb screw.
