The windscreen wiper assembly for motor vehicles has a wiper arm (10) pivot-mounted by a first end below the windscreen (30) of a motor vehicle, a wiper blade (20) pivot-mounted by a rivet on the second end of the wiper arm, a blade rubber (21) fitted to the wiper blade and lying against the windscreen, and a stop (11) which abuts against the wiper arm so that the wiper and wiper blade form different angles for the upwards movement and downwards movement of the wiper arm.
