The connecting unit is formed by components, which are provided on a wiper blade and a wiper arm (12). The wiper arm includes a detent recess (22) for receiving a detent element (24) provided at the wiper blade. The wiper arm includes a bending beam (28) whose loose end (26) extends into the detent recess. The detent element is designed as a cylindrical element (23). The bending beam includes a concave region (30), a convex region or a straight region, where the bending beam is pressed on the detent element by the region. The detent element includes undercuts for the wiper arm. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for connecting a wiper arm to a wiper blade with a connecting unit (2) a method for disconnecting a wiper arm from a wiper blade.
