The length measuring gauge for infants has a mat (1) with a length scale (8,9) on it and an L-shaped profile (2) at the head end. The profile has two right angled flanges (3,6) and a holding opening (4). One flange (6) of the profile extends upwardly from the mat and is arranged on the zero point of the scale. The foot end of the mat has a similar profile (11) with an upright shank (12) which can be moved on a folded over end section of the mat.
