A load securing system for the inside of a vehicle has securing sockets (17) located in the load bearing surfaces e.g. in the floor of the load carrying space, on the back sides of the seat uprights, to form load surfaces when the seats are folded flat. The load support modules (15) are fitted with pegs (18) which locate into the sockets and fitted with load securing means. The modules can be provided with external sockets (19) to secure trim panels (21) when no load is carried.
