The extension device includes at least one fixing stop (4a,4b) in the form of abutting or overlapping tongues, and at least one bendable element (5) that is bendable around a part of or an edge of an L-shaped post used to suspend vine wires. Slots (7a,7c) allow the element (5) to be bent more easily. The extension also includes holes (1) for passage of vine fixing wires and attachments (2) and notches (3) for fastening the wires. Optional fixing holes (6) can be used to fasten the extension to the post.
