Purification of a petroleum cut to reduce sulfur and aromatic content by a process of combined extractive and conventional distillation

Purification of hydrocarbon charge of distillation range 0 - 500 degrees C, containing substantial quantities of sulfur and aromatics, by a two-zone distillation process involving extractive and conventional distillation to produce a desulfurized and dearomatized raffinate, a primary distillate(containing solvent, aromatics and part of the sulfurized compounds) and a second, conventional, distillate containing the remaining sulfur compounds. An Independent claim is also included for the installation of the process.
