The stabilized gain optical semiconductor amplifier has an active waveguide (1) with an amplifier surround extending in three dimensions (X,Y,Z) and coupled to a laser oscillator structure. There are two resonant cavities (13,14) following first and second different longitudinal directions of the active waveguide. A laser oscillator is provided with two different relaxation frequency oscillation.
