Radio-frequency pumped gas laser with multiple waveguides - has central longitudinal electrode flanked by opposite shells presenting outside walls and separation walls which define resonant cavities filled with CO2
The laser includes a longitudinal electrode (40) flanked by two longitudinal shells (1,21). each shell has outside walls (2,22) parallel to the electrode and presenting longitudinal ribs (3,..6,23,..26) running across walls. The walls and intermediate ribs define six resonant cavities separated in two groups (7,..9,27,..29). Two insulating supports (48,49) are provided for the electrode extremities. The electrode is made of aluminium and presents six segments (41,..46) each corresponding to a cavity. The cavities are filled with CO2. USE/ADVANTAGE - In medicine for dental applications and industry for marking materials. Is compact and has good heat dissipation properties. Has improved efficiency.
