The process involves sampling the frequency of an analog signal emitted by a satellite according to a frequency of predetermined sampling, where signal has two principal lobes separated by a band of frequency where the power is negligible. Prior to the sampling, a translation of frequency of two principal lobes is carried out, one towards the other to reduce the length of frequency band of the principal lobes. An Independent claim is also included for a receiver of a radio navigation system consisting of a device of treatment of an analog signal.
