The inserts project below the reflector and allow for adjustment at three points. The reflector is made by moulding it on a polymer impression taken from an optical mirror that has been ground, polished and subjected to optical control, and surrounded by a ring to receive the liquid polymer. When the reflector is being moulded the barrel is suspended in the mould cavity to position it correctly while the polymer is setting. Holes (14) in the barrel give improved distribution and adhesion of the polymer.
