The method involves displaying a graphical representation of a device e.g. microkeratotome, in a current assembling state on a zone (Z1) of a video screen. A selection of one of device units in the representation by a user is detected and actions of the selected unit are displayed on another zone (Z7). A warning is provided if an action selected by the user is incorrect or else current assembling state device is modified. An independent claim is also included for a removable or fixed memory medium on which is stored a simulation program of the method of assembling of a device.
