The method involves favoring or de-favoring renewing of position of measures by stellate sensor (4) and/or by a satellite (1). The favored or de-favored renewing of position of measures displaces a part of error power associated to a stellate measure in a frequency spectrum. The stellate sensor chooses stars (10, 11) in a field of view to calculate altitude or to directly measure direction of star. An independent claim is also included for a system for tracking or acquisition of stars.
