Method involves generating first and second pulse width modulated signals (Uporte1, Uporte2) to control first and second semiconductor devices (11, 12). First and second semiconductor devices drive first and second electric motors (14, 15) respectively. Turning OFF point of first modulated signal corresponds to turning ON point of second modulated signal so that second electric motor is connected exactly when first electric motor is disconnected. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling electric motors.
