A powder comprising a base of a substance usable as a cosmetic powder, a layer of hydroxyapatite present directly on the surface of the substance and a layer of zinc oxide which is present on the hydroxyapatite layer. It contains hydroxyapatite at 5-30 wt.% and zinc oxide at 10-50 wt.% with respect to the total weight of the powder and has the property of adsorbing the constituents of sebum. Independent claims are included for (1) A cosmetic product comprising the claimed powder, preferably at 0.01-90 wt.%; (2) a sebum adsorbent agent comprising the claimed powder; (3) a body deodorant comprising the claimed powder .
