PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement amplification type damping structure capable of finely controlling the vibration of a building, effectively deforming a damping material by vibration added from the outside and finely controlling the vibration by the damping material in the damping structure controlling the vibration of the building by damping energy of earthquake by using the damping material.;SOLUTION: A displacement amplification mechanism 24 amplifying rotational displacement of a column 10 by leverage is provided across the column 10 and a footing beam 16, and the damping material 30 consisting of a viscoelastic substance elastomer is put between a displacement operating section 22 making amplification displacement to the column 10 by the amplification action and the column 10 in a state to make shear deformation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
