ROTATION DISPLACEMENT AMPLIFICATION TYPE DAMPING STRUCTURE OF BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation displacement amplification type damping structure of a building capable of effectively controlling vibration of the building by sufficiently deforming the damping material to finely exhibit damping operation even if relative rotation displacement between a first building construction member wherein the sheet-like damping material is put and a second building construction member is not large.;SOLUTION: The sheet-like damping material 20 consisting of a viscoelastic elastomer is held between a column 10 and a beam 12, and shear deformation of the damping material 20 is made by those relative rotation displacement to control the vibration of the building based on the damping operation of the damping material 20. In that case, the relative rotation displacement of the column 10 and the beam 12 is amplified to add it to the damping material 20, and a rotation displacement amplification mechanism 15 largely deforming the damping material 20 is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
