PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality castable refractory for lining a tundish which is inhibited from cracking and exfoliatiing and can stably be used for a long period of time.;SOLUTION: The castable refractory for lining the tundish is an aluminum-silica castable refractory and contains 12-15mass% expansible aggregate containing α-quarz having 0.3-5 mm grain size in ore, 4-10mass% alumina cement, and alumina ultrafine powder and siliceous ultrafine powder, wherein the ratio (mass ratio) of the siliceous ultrafine powder to the alumina cement is 0.7 to 1.5 .;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
