PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or remove an agrochemical residue from a farm product having the agrochemical adhered thereto without deteriorating the commercial value of the farm product.;SOLUTION: The farm product-treating apparatus is characterized by comprising a turnover portion 16 for surely turning over a fed farm product, a drive portion 18 for driving the turnover portion 16, and an ultraviolet light-irradiating portion 20 having ultraviolet light lamps 20a, 20b above the turnover portion 16. The method for reducing or removing an agrochemical in a farm product is characterized by directly irradiating the unwashed farm product with ultraviolet light to photodecompose the agrochemical adhered to the farm product.
