PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand spreading method and a sand spreader for enhancing spreading performance and minimizing the pollution of seawater while spreading sand in a uniform thickness on the sea bottom over a wide range without limiting a sand spreading direction on the sea bottom to the ahead or astern direction of the spreader.;SOLUTION: As a basic means, a sanding device 2 and a sand charging device 3 are installed on the sand spreader 1, and sand loaded in a sand carrier 4 is charged in the sanding device 2 using the sand charging device 3 while maneuvering the sand spreader 1. The sand is thereby spread on the sea bottom ground 21 through tremie pipes 11 while maintaining a prescribed thickness. As an embodiment, the sand loaded in the sand carrier 4 is charged in each hopper 8 of the sanding device 2 to quantitatively accumulate the sand on a belt conveyor 10 by the rotation of a rotary drum feeder 9 and the opening/closing of an opening/closing type soil removing dumper 9a and to convey the sand toward the tremie pipe 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
