METHOD FOR MEASURING FLOWING-OUT DIAMETER OF SLAG OF MOLTEN PIG IRON FROM MOLTEN PIG IRON TAPPING HOLE OF BLAST FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a flowing-out diameter of slag of molten pig iron from a molten pig iron tapping hole of a blast furnace by which the opening work or the closing work of the molten pig iron tapping hole can economically be performed at high work efficiency by highly accurately measuring the flowing-out diameter of the tapped slag stream spouted from the molten pig iron tapping hole of the blast furnace.;SOLUTION: An imaging means 15 which can measure luminance is used and the slag stream 12 spouted from the molten pig iron tapping hole 11 of the blast furnace 10 is imaged in the range of 10-30 cm from the wall surface 17 of the molten pig iron tapping hole 11, and the flowing-out diameter of the slag of the molten pig iron is obtained by calculating the area of a portion having ≥60% the maximum luminance on the basis of the luminance distribution in the imaged portion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
