PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method capable of sufficiently stably and efficiently boring a molten pig iron tapping hole without greatly depending on capability of operators even in a situation in which the molten pig iron tapping hole cannot be automatically bored.;SOLUTION: A boring device of a molten pig iron tapping hole includes: an excavator having a rod; a hydraulic unit for applying a feeding force, a hitting force, and a rotating force to the rod; a conversion unit for converting oil pressures respectively showing the feeding force and the rotating force in the hydraulic unit into a feeding pressure signal and a rotating pressure signal having intensity corresponding to strength of the forces respectively; and an operation board having a feeding force adjusting handle for adjusting a leading force of the rod and a hitting force adjusting handle for adjusting the hitting force of the rod. The feeding force adjusting handle vibrates with intensity corresponding to the intensity of the feeding pressure signal, and the hitting force adjusting handle vibrates with intensity corresponding to the intensity of the rotating pressure signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
