IMMIGRATION INSPECTION SUPPORT SYSTEM USING FACE IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compare face image information in addition to character information to improve decision accuracy, and to compare passport information with a face image when an alien entering/leaving a country enters or leaves the country to realize confirmation of identity with high accuracy, when comparing the information about a passport and a blacklist.;SOLUTION: This system supporting immigration inspection of the alien has: a reading part reading record information recorded in the passport; a face image acquisition part acquiring the face image of the alien entering/leaving the country by use of a camera; a storage device recording the passport information, a visa, a resident qualification certificate, issuing information about an alien registration certificate, and the blacklist; a registration part registering the blacklist; a comparison decision device comparing the read record information about a document with the information recorded in the storage device, extracting a characteristic point of the face image, and comparing the characteristic point of the image; a display part displaying the read information, the information recorded in the storage device, and a result decided by comparing them; and a device controlling them.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
