METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPTIMIZING EFFICIENCY OF MOTOR OPERATING UNDER LOAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method which can automatically optimize the efficiency of a motor operating under a load having a load characteristic curve of substantially quadratic function by changing at least one free parameter, and which does not need to measure the efficiency, a torque or a mechanical output.;SOLUTION: In the method of optimizing the efficiency of the motor operating under the load having the load characteristic curve of the substantially quadratic function, the motor is connected to a motor controller. To intervene in efficiency η, at least one free motor parameter w can be changed by the motor controller. The rotational speed n and the consumed input P_E are obtained, the motor parameter w is set to the value in which the value E of the quotient of the cube of the rotational speed n, and the consumed input P_E reaches the maximum value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
