PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a temperature response time constant A to correctly estimate temperature of an object (such as an intake valve) in accordance with operating conditions.;SOLUTION: A received/radiated heat quantity calculation means 1 calculates received heat quantity Q'in and radiated heat quantity Q'out. A received/radiated heat quantity change calculation means 4 calculates if there is change of the received/radiated heat quantity Q'in or Q'out (Q'in-Q'inz≠0 or Q'in-Q'inz=0, and Q'in-Q'inz≠0 or Q'out-Q'outz≠0). A balanced temperature calculation means 8 calculates balanced temperature Tdh.
