SYSTEM USING POWER CONVERTER, MICROSURGE SUPPRESSOR, AND MICROSURGE SUPPRESSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the surge generated from the terminal of an equipment connected to a power converter, and to suppress radiation noise and axial current at the same time.;SOLUTION: A motor drive system comprises an AC power supply 1, an AC reactor 2, a power converter 3, and a motor 4. A microsurge suppressor 5 is interposed in the power supply line from the power converter 3 to the motor 4, and a microsurge suppressor 6 is inserted likewise in the power supply line from the AC reactor 2 to the power converter 3. The microsurge suppressor 5 comprises a multilayer printed wiring board equipped with two terminals connected to the power converter 3 and the motor 4, and a capacitor for surge bypass. The terminal on the motor 4 side of the multilayer printed wiring board is directly connected to the terminal of the motor 4. The multilayer printed wiring board comprises wiring layers by at least two, and the wirings formed at the first and second wiring layers are capacitively coupled. The surge bypass capacitor is connected between the terminal on the motor 4 side and the terminal on the end of the second terminal side of the second wiring.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
