PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rare earth magnet which has an improved homogeneity in the distribution of R-rich phase in a magnet and excellent magnetic properties, by manufacturing an alloy ingot with a microstructure excellent in homogeneity through effectively suppressing generation of fine R-rich phase region in a R-T-B type alloy ingot represented by Nd-Fe-B type alloy.;SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the alloy thin strip containing rare earth by strip casting method, fine powder made of a lower heat conductive material than the roll base material is applied on the surface of rotary roll for casting.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
