PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and rapidly cut, in high amounts, a thick plate-like ice block into a specified plurality of thin plate-like pieces by carrying it in one direction.;SOLUTION: This plate ice manufacturing device comprises an endless carrying body 2 carrying ice blocks 10 and 10' and ice cutters 3 and 4 having a plurality of round saws 5 and 6 which have cutting directions set in the carrying direction of the endless carrying body 2, disposed parallel with each other at specified intervals, and having blade parts extending throughout the ice blocks in the height direction. A positioning device 7 for positioning the ice blocks is disposed at the inlet part of the endless carrying body 2 so that the two round saws 6A and 6B disposed at the center part can hold a white part 21 at the center of the ice block.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
