PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quickly and simply examining the presence or absence of the pollution of various foods, drinks, and their raw materials, including juice-containing foods or drinks, with Alicyclobacillus acidoterrestris.;SOLUTION: This method for examining the presence or absence of the pollution of various foods, drinks, and their raw materials with Alicyclobacillus acidoterrestris is characterized by preparing the DNA of a bacterium from the examination target, using the prepared DNA as a template, performing a nucleic acid amplification using at least one of three specific sequence oligonuclotides as a forward primer and at least one of other two specific sequence oligonucleotides as a reverse primer, and discriminating the presence or absence of Alicyclobacillus acidoterrestris contamination on the basis of the presence or absence of an amplification product having a prescribed fragment length determined by the combination of the used forward primer with the used reverse primer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
