PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge and a width expanding construction method for the bridge, capable of omitting or reducing remodeling work of a lower work when adding a width expanding part.;SOLUTION: This bridge P is formed by expanding the width with an existing bridge as an existing part. This bridge P includes the width expanding part P1 added to the existing part, and expanding a width of the existing part, and a support part P2 added in parallel to the existing part, and suspending and supporting the width expanding part P1. When adding the width expanding part P1 to the existing part, first of all, the support part P2 is added in parallel to the existing part.
