JOINT STRUCTURE OF HIGHWAY BRIDGE AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF EXPANDABLE JOINT FOR HIGHWAY BRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve soundproof and waterproof functions in a joint of a highway bridge and also improve workability of the expandable joint. ;SOLUTION: A step 11 is formed at the upper part of the end of confronting floor slabs 1 with a laying gap 3 between the floor slabs and braces 14 projecting to the center of the laying gap 3 are fixed to respective floor slab end faces oppositely arranged in the laying gap 3 in the lower side of the step 11. A blocking member 2 for the gap is inserted in the laying gap 3 in a state compressed in the lengitudinal direction of the bridge and supported by the braces 14, 14. An expandable joint 4 is disposed above the blocking member 2 and post-cast concrete 12 is placed up to the road face level at the back of the expandable joint 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
