PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for controlling Plasmodiophora brassicae of a vegetable of the family Cruciferae and to obtain a controlling agent therefor.;SOLUTION: This method for controlling Plasmodiophora brassicae comprises using one or more kinds of sulfamoyl compounds represented by formula (1) [wherein, R¹ and R² are each independently a 1-4C alkyl, or the like; Y is H, or the like; and R³, R⁴, R⁵, R⁶, R⁷ and R⁸ are each independently H, a 1-8C alkyl, a 3-8C cycloalkyl, or the like].
