PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient thermoelectric material using a two-dimensional oxide natural superlattice, and to provide a method for adjusting its thermoelectric characteristics.;SOLUTION: The two-dimensional oxide natural superlattice having Delafossite structure (CuAlO2) is used, and then a p-type acceptor and an n-type donor are doped, thus controlling a two-dimensional Fermi surface. As a result, a thermoelectric performance index ZT ranging 1.0 of practical value to a maximum of 3.6 can be obtained, and a super-high efficient thermoelectric material, exceeding 3 for the index ZT and the method for adjusting its thermoelectric characteristic can be also obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
