METHOD FOR TREATING ENCEPHALOPATHY OF ANIMAL AND THERAPEUTIC AGENT THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively treating encephalopathy of animals, particularly pug encephalitis observed in e.g. pug as, a kind of dog, and to obtain a therapeutic agent therefor.;SOLUTION: The method for treating animal encephalitis comprises the step(1) of irradiating the animal with radiation and the step(2) of administering the animal with an interferon. The therapeutic agent for animal encephalitis comprises interferon γ comprising an amino acid sequence described by the Sequence No.1, which is to be administered at 0.4-4.0×10⁴ units or greater while irradiating the animal with radiation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
