PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric pot equipped with an energy saving function for stopping or reducing a power supply to a warming heater for a specified time zone while suppressing the increase of costs by eliminating a clock function or a battery backing up circuit.;SOLUTION: A control unit 51 of this electric pot has a clock unit 513 which performs clocking by counting a basic clock, a room temperature sensor 80 for detecting the temperature of a room in which a household electric appliance is placed, and a comparison unit 511 which stores the detected temperature of the room temperature sensor 80 every specified time and compares it with a previous value. The control unit 51 also has a reference time setting unit 512 which resets the clocking value of the clock unit 513 to a reference time at a maximum value or a minimum value of the detected temperature based on the output of the comparison unit 511, and a warming heater control unit 514 which stops or reduces the power supply to the warming heater 14b only in a specified time zone based on the time zone which is judged from the clocking value of the clock unit 513.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
