PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for analyzing efficiently nitro polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons in diesel particles. PSOLUTION: This method has a process for extracting an organic soluble component from the diesel particles included in exhaust gas from a diesel engine by a solvent, a process for concentrating/drying extracted liquid acquired in the extraction process, a dissolution process for dissolving by methanol a material acquired by drying, and a process for separating/extracting the dissolved liquid by a high-performance liquid chromatograph. In the method, the separation process by the high-performance liquid chromatograph has a separation process by silica gel/C8 column, a reduction process by alumina/Pt-Rh reduction column, a separation process by an ODS column, and thereafter a process for quantitating the nitro polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons by a fluorescence detector 160.
