ANALYSIS PRETREATMENT METHOD FOR POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS IN DIESEL ENGINE PARTICLES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analysis pretreatment method for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in diesel engine particles, in which the analysis pretreatment time is shortened sharply, in which the safety of an operation can be enhanced, and in which the recovery of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons can be enhanced. SOLUTION: Diesel engine particles are extracted by a solvent by using a Soxhlet extractor 1 provided with a nearly bottle-shaped container 7 for extraction, in which the diameter of a body part 7a is larger than that of an opening part 7b. After that, the container 7 for extraction in which an extracted liquid L is stored is removed from a Soxhlet extractor body 6 so as to be put into a water bath directly as it is, and the extracted liquid L is concentrated. As a result, the transfer operation of the extracted liquid L in the shift to a concentration process from an extraction process is not required, the analysis pretreatment time is shortened sharply, the safety of a treatment operation can be enhanced, and the recovery of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons can be enhanced.
