PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver for field emission display panel and a field emission display device capable of accurately correcting the irregularity of brightness between pixels of a FED panel without reducing the number of gradation of image data by using an inexpensive circuit constitution.;SOLUTION: A cathode driving circuit 6 modulates the pulse width on the basis of a timing signal V1 and an image data signal VB, changes the driving voltage at every pixel on the basis of voltage data V5 at every pixel read from a frame memory 5 in accordance with the timing signal V1 and, thereby, produces the data pulse V6 obtained as the driving signal of column electrode of the FED panel 2.
