PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of non-uttered voice recognition by efficiently detecting a myoelectric signal with a portable digital assistant.;SOLUTION: The portable digital assistant manufacturing apparatus 1 is an apparatus for designing the portable digital assistant to recognize the speech uttered by a user from the myoelectric signal detected when the user utters and is equipped with a 3D shape measuring section 2, a sensor position calculation section 3, a shape designing section 4, and a portable digital assistant manufacturing section 5. The 3D shape measuring section 2 measures the three-dimensional shape of the user's face. The sensor position calculation section 3 specifies the position, direction and inclination of a myoelectric signal sensor suitable for detection of the myoelectric signal based on the three dimensional shape of the user's face measured by the 3D shape measuring section 2. The shape designing section 4 designs the portable digital assistant in such a manner that the myoelectric signal sensor attains the specified position, direction and inclination.
