PURPOSE: A digital rights management method of a personal digital assistant securing a DRM time having the reliability in the personal digital assistant in a DRM system is provided to secure stable DRM time in an environment which does not support ROAP(Rights Object Acquisition Protocol) or NITZ(Network Identity and Time Zone).;CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal recognizes a DRM(Digital Rights Management) time setting event(601). The personal digital assistant gets the reference time information and local time information in response to the DRM time setting event(603, 605). It is based on in the reference time information and local time information. The personal digital assistant produces the reference value for the effective DRM time.
