PURPOSE:To provide a molding of a silk fibroin ultrafine powder-containing thermoplastic resin composition and its composite molding respectively designed so as to constantly exhibit an excellent moisture absorption and release property, an excellent touch, an excellent visual appearance, etc. CONSTITUTION:A silk fibroin ultrafine powder is produced by preparing an ultrafine powder of silk fibroin according to a method involving the first process for grinding silk fibroin into a coarse powder by using a dry-type mechanical grinder, the second process for grinding the resultant coarse powder of silk fibroin into a fine powder by using a dry-type mechanical grinder and the third process for grinding the fine powder of silk fibroin into an ultrafine powder having =10mum average particle diameter by using a dry-type mechanical grinder and applying a treatment for formation of beta-type to the silk fibroin powder at least during one of the first process to the third process or after completion of the processes. The obtained silk fibroin ultrafine powder is blended with a thermoplastic resin and the resultant thermoplastic resin composition is molded by the injection molding method, the blow molding method or the press molding method, to produce the objective molding.
