PURPOSE: To obtain a therapeutic agent for cancers or autoimmune disease, manifesting function (apoptosis) of Fas antigen by adhesion of a ligand to an intranuclear receptor and to prepare a fused protein usable for a method for detecting the ligand to the intranuclear receptor, ;CONSTITUTION: (i) This fused protein is obtained by linking an amino acid containing a ligand adherent region of an intranuclear receptor to the carbon end of an amino acid sequence containing both a membrane passing region of Fas antigen and a function manifesting region. (ii) This DNA encodes the fused protein. (iii) This manifestation vector contains the DNA. (iv) This host cell is transformed with the manifestation vector. (v) This therapeutic agent for cancers or autoimmune disease comprises the manifestation vector as an active ingredient. (vi) This method for detecting a ligand to an intranuclear receptor uses the transformant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
