PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make recommendable literatures recommended by a user who is inclined to recommend the useful literatures in the order of higher ranks for a user who receives the supply of literature information. ;SOLUTION: This device includes a document data base 120 which stores a document profile that expresses the literature information and literature features in a pair of a multi-dimensional vector showing a field to which a relevant literature belongs in numerical value and another multi-dimensional vector showing the evaluation given from a user to the literature in numerical value, a user data base 110 which stores a user profile obtained by digitizing each degree of dependence in numeric value in each field to the recommendations of other users and expressing it by a matrix, a means 130 which calculates the resemblance between each user profile and literature profile and a mans 140 which sequences the literature information and supplies the sequenced information to each user according to the calculation results of resemblance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
