PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of molding a deep square plastic cup and having a body high in rigidity or strength.;SOLUTION: A plug 1 for pushing the thermoplastic resin sheet 9 inserted in the gap between a chamber 4 and a female mold 2 into the female mold 2 has a curved surface 6, an inclined surface 7 opened at an angle larger than that of the taper wall 21 of the female mold 2 for linearly molding the body 54 of the cup 50 toward the rear end of the plug 1, and a linear parallel surface 8 parallel to the axial line of the plug 1.
