PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily, rapidly and efficiently carry out the work for investigating, writing and updating the attribute information of an electronic map.;SOLUTION: The position information of a desired place is sent from a portable radio terminal 1 to a geographic information server 4. The server 4 forms the map A1 including the desired place from the terminal 1, forms an attribute information table T1 describing the attribute information registered for the natural feature on the earth included in the map A1 and sends the table to the terminal 1. The terminal 1 displays the map A1 sent from the server 4. When the desired position is assigned in the map A1 displayed on the screen of the terminal 1, an attribute information input screen is displayed.
