PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a substance causing pH change or a living thing body with superior detection sensitivity and detection speed without fracturing and contaminating a narrow-diameter tube and a pH electrode. ;SOLUTION: One end side of narrow-diameter solid phase 19 where a specific receptor for a substance or a living thing body causing pH change that is an object to be measured is immobilized inside is dipped in a specimen solution, is taken from it, and is arranged in a measurement cell 1 so that a sensitive part 6 of a pH electrode 30 being provided in the measurement cell 1 is adjacent to one end of the narrow-diameter solid phase 19. The measurement cell 1 and the narrow-diameter solid phase 19 are filled with a substrate solution, reaction is generated, and the output of the pH electrode 30 is detected when the substrate solution in the narrow-diameter solid phase 19 is moved to the sensitive part 6 by a pump 40 for feeding solution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
